With current civil discourse calling for the removal of the names of confederate military officers from public spaces and military bases, the American Institute of Parliamentarians (AIP) adopted a resolution at their last annual meeting suggesting General Henry M. Robert as a suitable candidate for the renaming of any military bases.
NAP President, Darlene T. Allen, opened the landmark “Virtual 2020 NAP Training Conference” and welcomed Martyn Robert Redgrave, President of the Robert’s Rules Association (RRA) as the keynote speaker.
2020-1, 2020-2, and 2020-3 relate to specific questions that may be especially pertinent to organizations having difficulty conducting business amid restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In light of the fact that many organizations are needing to conduct business using electronic meetings, due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, the Robert’s Rules Association and its publisher Hachette Book Group are making available Sample Rules for Electronic Meetings, which will be included as an appendix in the forthcoming 12th edition of Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised.
